TG645 (TG640N) is a fiber grade polyethylene terephthalate produced during the continuous polymerization process of the melt. This grade is used in the production of polyester filaments and fibers and spunbond fibers. The special physical and chemical properties of PET such as high mechanical strength, joint strength, transparency, lightness, safety in terms of toxicity and CO2 impermeability have led to its widespread use in the production of photographic films, beverage bottles and fibers.
